State-Level Celebration on World Water Day and World Environment Day

DURATION: Between May and June 2025

Year 2024 World Water Day was organised successfully at Taman Bukit Dumbar with a minimum turnout of at least 500 pax.

Following the year 2025 WWP look forward to increase the crowd turnout to at least 1000 individuals.

The proposed venue, date, theme is as follow:

Venue: Proposed to be at Municipal Park (Youth Park) or Indoor at KOMTAR

Date: Between May and June 2025 (To be confirmed with PBAPP based on CM’s date of availability) – Preferably 5th June 2025.

Theme: The theme is to be confirmed with PBAPP based on CM’s date of availability however, WWP would like to propose on partnership with Penang Green Council to organise a combine celebration of World Water Day and World Environment Day.

The proposed activities will be as follow:

  1. Opening speeches and talks by the Honourable Chief Minister, CEO of PBAPP and President of Water Watch Penang
  2. Painting & Colouring Competition
  3. Press Conference
  4. Water Exhibition booths by government departments, NGOs, water companies, Schools, and other WWP’s corporate partners
  5. Water Guessing competitions & Water Games
  6. Visit to Waterfall Treatment Plant (Half Day by PBAPP).

Expected Outcome:

The turnout is expected to receive at least 1000 turnouts via partnership with Penang Green Council and increase of exhibition booth for WWP’s corporate partners. At least 100 students will participate in the painting and coloring competition.
