The Aqua Save programme is a joint effort between Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn. Bhd. (PBAPP) and the Penang State Government. It aims to recognize and reward industries and organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to water conservation activities.
PBAPP has invited Water Watch Penang to enhance collaboration with the Penang Green Council through the Aqua Save programme. In this partnership, Water Watch Penang will serve as educators, imparting knowledge on water-saving initiatives to participants ahead of the Aqua Save evaluation session.
The objectives of this partnership are as follow:
a) To provide a better understanding on the need to be water savvy in their daily activities instead of just achieving the certification.
b) To provide guidance based on Aqua Save evaluation criteria towards achieving the certification.
As 2023 is the first year WWP’s executing the Aqua Save programme in terms of educating industrial recipient, WWP has managed to educated a total of 163 individuals from 5 companies in a total of six sessions, which are:
a) Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd
b) Aemulus Holdings
c) Penang Green Council
d) Furutech Electrical Sdn Bhd
e) South Island Garment Sdn Bhd
