The Finale of Water Conservation Pitching Competition 2021 took place via zoom online and Facebook Live on the 22nd of April 2021 from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The half day feature packed finale consisted of online pitching from the five finalists from national universities and MRSM institutes to showcase their innovations towards reducing water consumption.
This finale was attended and viewed by more than 200 audiences, accompanied with a short talk by Dr. Hong Chern Wern, the Manager of Water Watch Penang titled ‘Using Water Wisely, Why and How?’ and two rounds of lucky draw with top prizes worth RM50.
After tough and challenging discussions amongst the judges due to highly competitive teams, the judges have finally on decided the winners! The top 3 winners are as follow:
Champion: YDN Tech from MRSM Taiping
(Project Name: Mosque Wudhu’ Friendly)
1st Runner Up: Aqua Girls from Universiti Malaya and Universiti Sains Malaysia
(Project Name: Save Water Save Earth)
2nd Runner Up: TRI-A (MRSM Balik Pulau, Pulau Pinang
(Project Name: Mechatronic Fertigation)
