In addition to learning about river and water quality monitoring, the interns of Water Watch Penang had the opportunity to learn about drone operation. To keep up with the IR4.0, the current graduates are expected to be well equipped and enhance with extra technical skills and knowledge.
The interns were empowered with the basic skills to operate a drone and knowledge on the application of drones in the field of conservation.
Be sure to be on the lookout as Water Watch Penang is currently developing basic modules and lessons for drone operation and applications in conservation.
The drone lessons will be instructed by an instructor who has completed an ‘Aerial Mapping and Surveying Course’, an advanced professional drone lesson, with an experience of more than more than 80 hours of flight time covering a distance of more than 700 kilometers.
