Water Watch Penang (WWP) in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP), have organised the Penang Secondary School Water Quiz Competition 2019 on the 15th November 2019. A total of 65 students from 13 secondary schools in Penang, participated in this competition, hosted and sponsored by Auto City, Penang.
The objective of this competition was to increase knowledge and raise awareness on the current water issues, river and environment as well as discovering and learning about the importance of river and water education.
The first two rounds were preliminary rounds whereby top two schools from each round proceeded to the final round.
Participants were required to select questions related to water issues and general knowledge on global, national and local categories.
The top three schools alongside non-winning schools received cash prizes sponsored by Zerex Resources Sdn Bhd. The President of MBSP, Dato’ Sr Hj Rozali bin Hj Mohamud accompanied by Vice President of WWP, Dr Tan Mou Leong presented the prize to the winning schools.
