World Earth Day 22 April 2008
Happy Earth Day! This April 22, WWP and all earth-loving & water-loving people celebrate achievements & commitments we have made. If you have not made any commitments or pledges, please do so on this year's Earth Day. Just make a simple commitment like: (i) Flush once less a day; (ii) Report leaking taps and pipes to the authorities whenever you see one; (iii) Collect effluent water from your washing machine for re-use (e.g. flushing toilets or washing floors/cars); (iv) Reduce using the air-conditioner by switching to a fan; (v) Support organically grown vegetables; etc. For more tips see this website on water saving tips. People should also cultivate new lifestyles of non-consumerist type and also contribute either in kind or $ to efforts aimed at protecting and conserving our environment (which in turn contributes to saving our Earth). WWP beckons you to be a responsible Earth Citizen by taking charge of your lifestyle and also the stewardship of our planet via making wise and responsible decisions/steps to reduce your water use as well as reduce your carbon footpirint and ecological footprint from your daily lifestyle.
