SMK Kepala Batas Visits Penang National Park

On 29 May 2010, 4 teachers and 40 students were taken to Penang National Park by Water Watch Penang volunteers (Prof Chan, Hong, Yen, Ke Shin, Takemi and 2 new WWP members). The PNP Ranger Encik Mustafa gave a presentation on PNP and Hong briefed the group on WWP and the day's activities. The group did water monitoring exercises on Sg Tukun, the hiked all the way to Pantai Kerachut where they visited the Jabatan Perikanan's Turtle Hatchery. The group later went back to PNP HQ by boat. Both teachers and students expressed that they enjoyed the trip thoroughly and learnt a lot. They were asking WWP volunteers when they could visit other similar locations in Penang or other states.
