SMJK Phor Tay & SMK Batu Kawan River Programme 22 March 2008 (22 March is the United nation's designated World Day for Water every year)

SMJK Phor Tay & SMK Batu Kawan River Programme was conducted by WWP on 22nd March 2008. A total of 60 students and 4 teachers from these two schools took part in a river water monitoring (physical, chemical and biological) water treatment process programme at the Sg Air Terjun (a tributary of Sg Pinang) inside the Penang Botanic Gardens. The group was also taken on a study visit  of the PBAPP Sdn Bhd Waterfall Treatment Plant located inside the gardens. The group enjoyed themselves, but nmore importantly they learnt a great deal about the importance of rivers and water protection and conservation, as well as the porcesses involved in piping water to their houses.
