Prof Chan Ngai Weng conferred the DJN

Prof Chan Ngai Weng was conferred the Darjah Johan Negeri (DJN) by the Governor of Penang on 11 July 2009. The DJN is conferred to not more than 1000 living persons, not including foreigners. It is conferred to individuals who have served the state unselfishly, putting the state and society first.
