Penang State Inter-School Water Quiz 11 October 2008

WWP organised a Penang State Inter-School (Lower Secondary) Water Quiz in 11 October 2008. The quiz is the climax of the River Education Programme sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland through its Environmental Conservation Fund managed by the Malaysian Nature Society. The Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang also sponsored some prizes. Universiti Sains Malaysia also helped by providing the facility, staff and students to run the quiz. Although all 20 secondary schools in Penang that have undergone the river and water monitoring programme over the 1 year period 2007-2008 were eligible to take part, eventually only 10 schools took part. Each school submitted an entry of 4 students. The venue of the quiz was at USM Lecture Hall SK1.  The winners are as follows: 1st - Phor Thay; 2nd - SMK St George; 3rd - SMK St Xavier's Institution.
