PUBLICATIONS OF BOOKS

Water Watch Penang (WWP) is a non-profit organisation set up in November 1997 as part of the Sustainable Penang Initiative under the auspices of the Socio-economic and Environmental Research Institute (SERI) of Penang. Our objectives are: to promote study, awareness, knowledge, conservation, protection and the practice of a water saving society towards the sustainable development of water resources in accordance with the aspirations of Agenda 21 of the United Nations and Malaysia's Environmental Commitment. Other objectives include: Creating awareness and water saving practices amongst the public, industry and government agencies; Publishing and distributing articles, pamphlets, journals, periodicals and books; Organising and conducting field trips, educational camps seminars, forums, conferences, lectures and talks; Coordinating and carrying out research, consultancy , EIA assessment & panel & other works; Acting as Watch Dog for water pricing, monitoring & pollution, non-revenue water, destruction of catchments & other issues relating to water; Networking with other societies dedicated to similar aims and objectives; and Undertaking such other activities as may be determined by the Executive Committee of WWP from time to time consistent with the organisation’s aim.

Water Watch Penang welcomes enquiries on our books. Book (1) costs RM25 (inclusive postage within Malaysia). For postings outside Malaysia, the cost is US$10. Book (2) costs RM15 (inclusive postage within Malaysia). For postings outside Malaysia, the cost is US$10. Buying both books will cost RM40 (inclusive postage within Malaysia). For postings outside Malaysia, the cost is US$20.
