Say No To ‘Re-opening’ of Logging – Ulu Muda

Lately the news reports hint at the Kedah government contemplating the re-opening of logging concessions, which will allow logging companies to harvest vital trees that serve as water catchment for Perlis, Kedah and Penang.

WWP’s stance on this sides with PBAPP that the re-opening is not up for discussion and that the forests should never be threatened by logging. Without Ulu Muda, Penang, Perlis and Kedah will suffer greatly from the reduction in water supply.
